Hi, thank you Huba!! Is all that I can say. After reaching a stale mate in my training, my friend James invited me to my first Huba class to try something different. Well I don't know if it was the strength training or all the great vibes but I ended up winning my next race. Hi there guys, a very brief story was that I was looking for an alternative exercise to running because of my injuries…I always vowed I would never do gym…but then asked my son Luke who was doing HUBA at the time if he minded me checking it out, I didn’t want to gatecrash his world…he said yes and the rest is history…I have thoroughly enjoyed this form of exercise and plan to be part of Huba for as long as I can. - Barbie
The first time I went to a Huba class I weighed about 120kg - and the last time I had seen the inside of a gym prior to that day was probably about 10 years ago. Even though I had already lost quite a bit of weight I was incredibly unfit and still had a long journey ahead of me. Now let me say I was petrified on that first day – I had images of people laughing at me and whispering behind my back but what I experienced was the complete opposite. The staff at Huba are exceptional, they are warm, welcoming, encouraging, attentive and I can honestly say that I have never felt uncomfortable or embarrassed during a workout even though I could not do all the exercises and in fact still cannot do all the exercises – I have always felt and known that as long as I am giving my best and pushing myself as hard as I could that it was enough. The trainers never force you but always push you to give it your all and to expect more of yourself than you thought possible. I have lost 40kg since first joining Huba and my life is totally transformed not only physically but emotionally and mentally. Every workout I have become stronger and stronger. Huba has helped show me that I am capable of more than I thought possible, that the body is able to achieve almost anything it is the mind that needs convincing. I have carried this philosophy through into my everyday life, never satisfied with things as they are always pushing myself and expecting more of myself. I have since been invited to be a guest on a TV show, I have changed jobs because I had the confidence to believe in taking a chance, I have run 2 half marathons and I know all this has a great deal to do with what I have learnt about myself at each workout at Huba. I joined Huba a few months ago after being at a conventional gym for the past two years and was looking for a new challenge. After doing some research and making a few enquiries Huba came out the best fit for what I was looking for. After the first class I knew I found the place where I could continuously push myself under the guidance of great trainers who put together daily classes that always leave you with a sense of accomplishment after having completed them. I enjoy taking part in various road running races and have felt a vast improvement in my fitness levels and strength throughout my training leading up to races and then the completion thereof, I would recommend Huba to anyone who is looking for an environment that gets the best out of you in whatever fitness goals one is trying to achieve. Lastly I wanted to touch on the common perception that functional training classes such as the ones offered by Huba are only really beneficial for fitness levels and not for gaining muscle mass. In the past few months at Huba I have attended an average of 5 classes a week and not stuck to any strict diets, currently I have gained 3 kgs in muscle mass and feel stronger in all weight aspects of the classes than I have ever before. Each class follows a structure that can be utilized in achieving your desired goals, be that heightened fitness levels with a high rep count or building muscle definition throughout your body by opting for heavier weights.

Dear Abilio, Johry, Bianca, Ettiene, Simon, Chad. My journey in the fitness industry started about 4 years back. Always active doing sport and then the stresses of business, family and the incorrect eating took over. Decided enough was enough and started training and joined Huba. Since then my life has changed. One gets bored with weight training at a normal gym but functional fitness is definitely the way forward. The setup at Huba is on point with my needs. Great trainers, great members, great vibe. I have seriously never ever got bored in the last three years of training at Huba. Every time I have trained it has been something different and exciting. I sleep better, handle stress better and in conjunction with the correct eating plan my physique has changed completely. Im proud to say , at 48 years of age , im in the best shape of my life.
